Western Heritable was founded in 1896 by Sir John Mactaggart, Baronet of King’s Park Glasgow, Great Grandfather of the present Chairman.

Until the early 1970s, the principal activities of the company comprised the development and subsequent letting and management of residential units in Glasgow, together with the development of substantial blocks of flats in Fulham, St John’s Wood and Mayfair in London.

Since the mid-1970s, the company has built an experienced, insightful team and created a substantial investment portfolio, both in the United Kingdom and the United States, including a significant number of commercial assets in London and New York.

Today, firmly footed on either side of the Atlantic, Western Heritable has a significant live commercial development pipeline in some of the most exciting parts of London, the UK and New York.
